Maryam Rahimi Blogs!
The road has been so exciting despite the fact that I drive for hours after hours. There is something about the unknown, having no plans and driving through land that gets my blood pumping. My dad says I must have been part of cavemen in my past life. Not sure why cavemen, maybe because of my love for all things nature.
You probably have noticed my attraction for aircraft/Military style museums... there is something about machines that can travel into unknown land, it makes me want them.
Continuing from the previous list:
14. San Diego
Julie & Patrick!
Totally unexpected, Julie & Patrick were kind enough to spend the weekend with me, despite my sudden arrival without any prior notice. Just wanted to make sure I thank them here on my blog, so big thank you two! I love San Diego because of you :)
Downtown SD and Around
La Jolla & Around
My favourite things to do when exploring new cities are visiting beautiful sights, eating authentic food and exploring the city's architecture. San Diego is a food city with lots of beautiful landscape and homes. Two thumps up!
Feeling like I've stepped into a piece of history has never failed to amaze me. It's so crazy to think that outside of my cozy, free spirited, wildly adventurous life, there was a time where soldiers and navy marines fought for all the things I love about this planet. I am unbelievably attached and in love with all the privileges and beautiful things my life has given me, for that, I thank my amazing parents followed by every single individual who came before me and fought for everything I enjoy living with today, so to USS Midway and everyone who sailed it, thank you! I am in awe of you.
Old Town Mexico
Still in San Diego, this town is a little recreation of Mexico. Great food!
I ended up spending 4 days in San Diego and absolutely loved every minute of it. There was so much to do. I definitely recommend checking out all of the above and if you have more time, make sure to check out Del Coronado Hotel (Part of San Diego's history and the first of it's kind to ever be built there), it's breathtaking.
Can't wait to share the rest of my California trip with you in my next blog coming up next week ;)
